Year End Giving
As 2018 comes to an end it brings with it an excellent opportunity to be a blessing to the Lord and His Church. For many it is time to evaluate your tax situations and see if an extra financial gift to the Lord’s Church would lower your tax burden and more importantly benefit the Lord’s Church. With paying off the building ongoing, I’d like to encourage you to think of how you could help with this monumental task.
You should also be aware that legally for a gift to be counted for 2018 it must be in the church office on December 31st. We cannot apply any gifts after December 31st, even post dated checks, to your 2018 giving statement. If you mail it, it must be postmarked by December 31st, 2018.

We are blessed to belong to the TCC family!

Hide Then In Your Heart
Thank you to all who helped with the Hide Them in Your Heart program this past 2018 fall by being sponsors and working with the children each week! As well as buying and making snacks each week for the children and sponsors! And those who gave toys and money for the program.
As we look to the fall of 2019 Hide Them in Your Heart, we will need people to buy toys when they are on clearance after Christmas and seasonal times to get the best buys. If you can help bring them to the church office or Jeff’s office labeled Hide Them in Your Heart 2019! Your help is very much appreciated.
Faith Factory T-Shirts
There is still time to order t-shirts. Order forms are located on the south wall by the children’s check-in area as well as t-shirt designs. Go check it out!
As we start 2019, the children’s ministry needs people who will take a background check and work in these AREAS: Check-in, Children’s Church Worker, Security, Teaching, being a Sponsor, helping with special needs, Prayer Partner, and Mentors. If you pray about it and are willing to make a difference in the lives of children email Jeff at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out a form on the Hostess table and turn it to Jeff or the Church Office.
1st-6th Grade Wednesday Nights
Our first set of classes will have an introduction on January 9th, 2019 for all 1st-6th graders. You will be able to choose one class that will start on January 9th until February 13th! Some of the classes will be how to run the sound booth (4th-6th grade only), fitness classes, first aid, how to study the bible, etc. If you can volunteer to help in a class see Jeff or call the church office at 620-289-4433.
“THANK YOU” to all that went Christmas Caroling with us to Windsor Place in Coffeyville. The children had a great time. We had a great turn out to sing Christmas songs to the residents. What a wonderful blessing!
Two-year-olds through Kindergarten on Wednesday evenings have been learning scripture and have done an amazing job. On Saturday, December 15th we had a pizza party for them. It is amazing listening to this age memorize scripture.
We want to provide a healthy environment in our classrooms, so we ask you to keep your child at home when any of the following symptoms have occurred within the last 24 – 48 hours: Fever, Vomiting, Discharge in or around the eyes, green or yellow runny nose, excessive coughing, diarrhea, questionable rash.
Any communicable diseases such as mumps, measles, chicken pox, conjunctivitis (pink eye), Strep Throat and impetigo. These are to be kept at home until all possibility of contagion is over. If your child becomes ill while in the classroom, you will be notified promptly. If your child is being treated with antibiotic, he or she should have received treatment for at least 48 hours before coming to class.
Thank you for your help in keeping our areas healthy for other children.
When you are checking in or picking up your child in the Building Block area (nursery/preschool), please have only 1 person, over the age of 14, go in to pick up your child. This will help with the security and to make sure that we don’t have a child leave without their parent. We have had too many adults go back to pick up 1 to 3 children. We also have tightened our check out system. We want to keep our area secure and safe for our children. If you have company and would like to show them this area, please wait until the area is free of small children. Thank you for your help and understanding in this matter.
I hope everyone will have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We are ready to start a new year in serving the Lord. “O God, you have taught me from my earliest childhood, and I have constantly told others about the wonderful things you do.” Psalm 71:17. Who have you told about the wonderful things God has done for you this past year? Children have no problem sharing what they have learned!

Letter From Elders
Paul often wrote his Thanks to Individuals and Churches.
Philemon: 4-7: I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints. I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. Your love has given me great joy and encouragement because you brother have refreshed the hearts of the saints.
Brothers and Sisters of Tyro,
I am grateful for each and every one of you. The encouragement you bring as you serve others and strive to imitate Christ in both organized and random ways to meet the needs of the lost, the poor, the hurting, the elderly, and children of all ages, is commendable. The tireless efforts that you put into ministries like the car show, Jesus prom, ROCKS, and the praise team (just to name a few) continue to make an eternal difference for those that don’t know Christ.
I encourage you, as I remind myself or rather He reminds me: God is good! God is in control! Remain patient! He has a plan and our job is to remain faithful to him, continuing to serve God and his family in love. God is easy to love, because of our humanness the 2nd part (Loving one another) can be challenging at times. God implores that the Church Body remain united in love. He will reveal and carry out his plan in his perfect time.
Brothers & Sisters, in a new and fresh way, continue to carry out the Mission that has shown your love for God throughout the years:
Evangelize the lost
Mature the Saved
Share the burdens of the needy
May we remain faithful to our God who is so faithful to us!
