NOTE: When you begin using the new envelopes in January, please throw away your 2018 envelopes that are left over! Also, if you would like a contribution report at the end of the year, you definitely need to use offering envelopes! If you choose to give online you will receive a report at the end of the year and envelopes are not necessary.
Save a stamp and bring your Christmas Cards for friends and family who attend Tyro Christian Church, and leave them on the table in the foyer in alphabetical order! Check the table occasionally to see if there are any cards there with your name on them also! Tables will be set up out in the foyer on Sunday, December 2nd for the cards.
I would like to thank our church family so much for all the wonderful support when Ben passed. All the help with his service, the funeral meal, cards, calls and food. I am at a loss for words to express what it meant to me and our family. God Bless!

NEW Giving Platform
In an effort to improve your online giving experience, a NEW giving platform has been implemented. We have found this NEW giving platform to be easier to use, more efficient and more secure while giving online.
We will be transitioning all online giving to the NEW giving platform over the next several weeks and will completely phase out the OLD giving platform by December 31st of this year. It is our plan to start the New Year with only one giving platform; the NEW giving platform. Go to tyrochristian.org/change-giving/
Blanket Blessings will meet Friday, December 14th at 9:00 AM in the Auditorium Kitchen. For more information or questions call Gloria White (620) 515-4281.

On behalf of all the children – THANK YOU! To all that helped with Trunk and Treat. Those that brought candy, helped set up and tear down, to serving, having a trunk for the children to receive prizes or candy and to all those that helped behind the scenes that I haven’t mentioned! We can’t do this without our volunteers!
I want to say “THANK YOU” to everyone that helped during our Fall Children’s Program. The children did a great job! I am very proud of all of them. They did a wonderful job on stage.
WOW! What fun we had at the Family Skate Night! It was good to see everyone having fun and coming together as a BIG Family. Those that were unable to come, we plan to see you next time.
Building Block Area Security
Parents, when you come to pick your child up from this area, please have your number sticker visible to the worker as you go into the Building Block area. We are also asking that only one family member (14 years of age or older) pick up the children. This is a safety measure and will help our security personnel keep our Building Block area secure. If we have several adults with older children going in to pick up one or two children, then our secure area is no longer secure. Thank you for your help in this matter.
Christmas is Around the Corner
We are busy during this time of year. Trying to get our houses decorated and Christmas presents bought and wrapped for Christmas. Here in the Building Block Preschool area we, also, will be busy. Please put on your already busy calendar the following dates:

December 15th, 3rd Saturday, the children that are able to say 2 or more memory verses will be able to meet at Coffeyville Pizza Hut for a pizza party, 11:00am to 1:00pm. I am very proud of the children who are able say these verses (they are not short by any means.)

College Care Cards
We will be sending $5 Wal-Mart gift cards to our away College kids again. Please bring gift cards to the church office or put them in the offering plate. Year End Giving
As 2018 comes to an end it brings with it an excellent opportunity to be a blessing to the Lord and His Church. For many it is time to evaluate your tax situations and see if an extra financial gift to the Lord’s Church would lower your tax burden and more importantly benefit the Lord’s Church. With paying off the building ongoing, I’d like to encourage you to think of how you could help with this monumental task.
You should also be aware that legally for a gift to be counted for 2018 it must be in the church office on December 31st. We cannot apply any gifts after December 31st, even postdated checks, to your 2018 giving statement. If you mail it, it must be postmarked by December 31st, 2018.You might also want to talk to your broker concerning the giving of stocks. You would get a better value for your stocks through giving them to the church.
Church Cancellations due to Bad Weather
For Church cancellation due to bad weather there are several places you can check: 1) the web site (tyrochristian.org), 2) prayer chain and hot line, 3) call the church office and listen to the answering machine, 4) check Facebook or twitter, 5) text message (if you haven’t subscribed text Tyro to 43506).

Winter Jam! Sunday, febuary 10th at The BOK Center in Tulsa
We will leave after 2nd Service, get something to eat in Bartlesville, and then stand in line for a while to reserve our spots! Doors open at 5:00pm. Bring $15 in CASH to get in to Winter Jam and money for lunch and concessions.
Unfinished Sunday School class works year round in several different ways. Listed below are some ways that you and your family may be able to serve.
Agape Mission–Bartlesville, OK – The first Saturday of each month we go to Agape Mission in Bartlesville. We arrive about 9:45am and we cook a meal from what the mission already has on hand. We are in charge of the whole meal. We get to visit with our friends that attend Agape for a free meal and fellowship with each other as well. This is a great family serving project. It takes about 10 people each time we do it. We have January-December open for next year, 2019. You will be joining someone from the Unfinished Class to work with, you won’t be expected to go by yourself. This is one of our favorite ways to serve. We take food in sometimes during Thanksgiving, Easter or 4th of July to give them home cooked meals. We will always take anything homemade that you want to make. They love their “Kansas People” as they like to refer to us.
STL Ministry–Tulsa, OK – STL is a ministry that we work with based out of Tulsa. Our goal is to go monthly and it’s the 4th Sunday of each month. We take clothes, blankets, hygiene products and sometimes food to 11th and Denver in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. We serve people that are homeless, reintegrating into homes or are just in dire need of help. We always have God’s Word to give away. The needs we have for our friends in Tulsa currently are: backpacks, socks, blankets, tarps and coats. These are high need items during the winter.
We also give out a lot of hygiene products such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, women’s hygiene products and chapstick. As you can imagine, the needs change with the seasons. We sometimes caravan down together and meet in Caney and then get to the parking lot at the same time to unload and get started. This is also a place we take our kids to serve alongside of us. We have had families with kids as little as two or three come and serve.
Unfinished Class goals are to be family focused and centered on loving others because God first loved us. We want to honor God by training our children up and showing them the way they should go when they are older. We are the church. If we just stay inside the church walls, it is merely a theater. Feel free to follow us on FB: Donita Unfinished Ernest-Duff. I John 4:19
