Jesus Prom is a dinner and a dance for people with disabilities.
Jesus Prom is based off the scripture in Luke 14:12-14 about the kind of parties Jesus tells us to throw. “Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”
This is the mission of Jesus Prom: Love the people Jesus loves the way that Jesus loves them.
You are invited to participate in Jesus Prom at Tyro Christian Church on Friday, November 10. Jesus Prom is an opportunity to love the people Jesus tells us to love and we have so many ways you can serve at every comfort level. We have greeters who will welcome our guests. We will have servers who will serve our guests dinner. We will have women helping our guest feel celebrated by a make-up station and a photobooth.
We will have games as well!
